Tuesday of Bible Camp October 2

Galatians 3:26-27

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Rhonda Grant ready for anything with her backpack and hat.  Ready to tackle games with 75 precious children who attended Bible Camp.

I was in charge of crafts and today they decorated slippers.  I felt like this guy from Cinderella fitting 75 little, dirty feet.

Water from the tap.  The children use the communal glasses - no wonder we are all so sick all the time. Germs!

Rhonda and Ginger teamed up games with music. For musical chairs the children sang.

They separated the wee ones for their own set of musical chairs - except that no one ever got out.

Fun, fun, fun playing games.

Inside the church Jessica Harrison lead the Bible study today on FAITH.

One child answer to what faith is, "To take the step that something is true."

Galatians written in Zulu.

100 pairs of slippers, or to American flip-flops, or to Afrikaans slops.

Boys using paint markers to write on their slippers.

Girls waiting patiently for their turn by coloring.

Sweet messages they wrote.  "God is love me."

Joe drew a basketball court.

How funny that this child wrote Lutheran Church???

Sweet girls

This is the reason I left my children, job, Solomon, and all that I loved in America.  These children understand that JESUS LOVE ME.

With all the children trying them on to find the correct size, they sure got dirty.  The funny thing was when I asked each child what size they wore they ALL said size 3.  Didn't take me long to know by looking about what size they wore and it WASN'T a size 3.

At Bible Story time they drew pictures of 'faith.'

Galatians 3:26-27

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

In Zulu, now try saying it!

Jessica and some helpful helpers.

Busy, busy, busy decorating their slippers.

The 100 are thinning out - yikes I hope everyone gets a pair at fit!

These are the cheeky boys - always working a scam.

Thankful that they all love to color, no matter how old they are.

Trying them on to see what fits.  It was an act of faith purchasing 100 pairs without knowing anyone's shoe size.  Thank you Jesus that it all worked out.

Sweet tiny girl with new slippers.

They were so very proud of their slippers.

Displaying for all to see.

Review, review, review...

First in English - then in Zulu.

Group closing with more singing with Ginger leading us.

The absolute best part of the day was being in Ntshongweni in the afternoon and seeing the children of the township walking around in their new FAITH slippers. So another awesome day serving the Lord at Bible Camp.
